Welcome to the land of the best Colombian carnival! The city of Barranquilla is characterized by a happily overflowing scene: friendly and happy people everywhere who eagerly await the arrival of a new carnival, the most famous and anticipated in the country.

Barranquilla is distinguished by an attribute that they call ‘Barranquilla breeze’ and that you cannot miss: the almost perfect mix between the fresh water of the Magdalena River and the salty water of the Caribbean Sea.

With its own gastronomy, music and identity dances, Barranquilla has been distinguished as the American Capital of Culture in 2013. It is also remembered as the city that gave birth to the singer Shakira and has served as inspiration for the very Nobel Prize for Literature Gabriel García Márquez when visiting some of its most prominent sites.
